MONITORING, EVALUATION & PROGRAMMES OFFICER
Initially for 1 Year (subject to continued funding)
Limerick Youth Service is seeking a skilled and experienced
Monitoring, Evaluation & Programmes Officer to develop, enhance and
advance our research and evaluation capacity and to support the
delivery of high quality and effective programmes and services. The
Monitoring, Evaluation & Programmes Officer will link with funders and
donors and be expected to initiate and design programmes and implement
systems for the collection and analysis of appropriate and relevant
data as well as well undertaking both qualitative and quantitative
research.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
This position should appeal to an individual with strong monitoring,
research, analytical and writing skills, who has a good knowledge of
the youthwork sector in Ireland, has keen interest in policy and
advocacy and enjoys working as part of a team.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES
* A relevant post graduate qualification and experience (at least
five years) in the area of education, research or a relevant social
science discipline
* High levels of personal motivation, self-management, and attention
to detail
* Ability to take responsibility in meeting strict deadlines and
progressing projects
* Capacity to disseminate research and policy analysis in ways that
are accessible to a wide-ranging audience
* Excellent interpersonal & communication skills to work closely
with a broad range of stakeholders including funders, donors, service
providers, parents, young people, staff, Board members, statutory and
voluntary bodies.
* Ability to conduct and analyse both quantitative and qualitative
data (including the use of SPSS numeric, advanced excel and text
analysis packages).
* Track record in writing research reports and policy positions or
briefing documents.
* Strong IT skills and ability to present data in a range of formats
to various audiences.
* Full Clean Driving Licence and access to own transport
